Some of my earliest and fondest memories are sitting side by side with my Dad, in his studio. Surrounded by French watercolour papers, an artistic mess of artworks, paints and framing equipment - you could find me happily creating the curious and carefree masterpieces of a 4 year old.
Growing up in a creatively nurturing environment, my story has been enriched by two creative and ambitious parents speaking life into my artistic pursuits and entrepreneurial projects. Now with a family of my own - I am a Mum of 2 young boys, a wife, an entrepreneur, artist and creative director of May Home Store. My days are full, my arms are full and...my heart is full.
Beyond my early years of paint splashing, I studied a Bachelor of Creative Arts which taught me the value in fully 'resolving' an artwork. I've since translated those lessons into a passion for the details that create memorable and meaningful brand experiences.
I've had the opportunity to live and work internationally as well as all over Australia and in 2013, launched our first label, Once Was Lost - a textiles brand founded on merging ethical craftsmanship and natural style. 7 years later, we launched our in store experience, May Home Store in my home town of Adelaide. Today, it is the hub for our business - a thoughtful and considered brand that shares my heart for cosy nights in, nourishing meals shared with equally nourishing conversation and creating warm spaces of retreat from the noise of the outside world. You'll now most likely find me curating our imagery, building our brand strategy or sipping my coffee at the park with our boys. Occasionally, I'm still getting out my paints and creating - more on that to come...
